High Life
In tech week for a play at the studio space at Hampstead Theatre.
This is a new play by Lizzy Dijeh. The play revolves around Nigerian familiy, living in East London, coming to terms with the death of their daughter. It is a fantastically written and structured play and deals with grief with a lot of insight and sensitivity. I hope it is successful for the writer.
Lots of cello. Seems to be a bit of a theme for me in recent months. I am hoping to have some time later this Autumn to pursue some musical ideas relating his work. Just for myself this time, which will make a pleasant change.
